About Hawkesbury Cranes

Our company was started in 1985 with a 20 tonne PPM all terrain crane. During a 14 year period we worked on many major and diverse projects around the Sydney metro area. Some of these projects included Opera House Forecourt, Parramatta Stadium, Commonwealth Offices Parramatta and the New State Library. In 1998 we purchased an 18 tonne Franna from Brambles Cranes and contracted to them up until 2003, when we decided to go out alone.

Where Experience Counts

Our first project in 2003 was a 6 month contract at the Hydro Aluminium Smelter at Kurri-Kurri refurbished the Anode Baking Plant. After this job we were asked to go to Botany to work on refurbishment of the sewer system running from the Sydney Airport to Matraville. We were on this project from March 2004 until November 2006. In the meantime we also purchased 2 Maeda 3 tonne crawler cranes to service this job and a 7 tonne Hino table top. We have been involved in the crane industry for the last 32 years.

During this time we have also worked on several shutdowns, including Shell, Orica(formerly ICI) and Caltex at Kurnell. We have also carried out work for all the major utilities over the years.
